Biography
Ian M. Sack received his Juris Doctor from the City University of New York School of Law in 2002 and was admitted to the New York State and Federal Bars the following year. He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted criminal matters and developed the courtroom discipline that continues to define his practice today.
Following his service in the Bronx, Mr. Sack joined a Suffolk County firm practicing employment discrimination and labor & employment law before transitioning to personal injury trial work. As a Major Case Trial Attorney, he tried high-exposure personal injury matters involving serious injury and death, taking jury verdicts in State and Federal courts across the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, the Eastern District of New York, and Riverhead.

Construction worker fall from collapsed scaffold. Recovery secured for an injured construction worker and his wife against a general contractor that failed to provide adequate safety equipment or a proper scaffold. March 2011 · No appeal taken.
In April 2019, Mr. Sack founded The Law Offices of Ian M. Sack, a litigation firm representing clients in personal injury matters including motor vehicle accidents, construction site injuries, nursing home abuse and neglect, medical malpractice, premises liability, SUM/UIM claims, and criminal defense. He also represents mid-sized businesses on matters involving insurance coverage, claims and policy disputes, labor and discrimination issues, and commercial grievances.
Mr. Sack handles every matter in his practice personally, with particular focus on cases involving catastrophic injury and wrongful death. Over the course of his career, he has resolved a substantial volume of personal injury and medical malpractice cases through trial, arbitration, mediation, inquest, and judgment. Now joining Leitner Warywoda PLLC as Counsel, he brings that experience to the firm’s clients across New York City and Long Island.
